The Refuge is a sacred space for wild-hearted sober explorers, spiritual seekers, and all those with a deep desire to free themselves from the bondage of alcohol, and HEAL WILD!

Our Story...

A Refuge: That which shelters or protects; a sanctuary which secures safety by it's sacredness; a place inaccessible to an enemy.

If you are being chased by an enemy, survival forces you to shelter or find a Refuge...

​

It wasn't dramatic, or headline news the day I found myself needing a Refuge. It wasn't a normal day either when I picked up the phone and checked myself into Alcohol rehab. 

​

I know addiction, and I know treatment. My disease has required it twice. 

 

In 2007, sober and desiring to help others, I became a Certified Recovery & Spiritual Coach, working on staff in addiction treatment centers for many years. 

​

RMWR was born as an option to traditional treatment and aftercare. Located at 7500', where wild animals run free and the mountains call you 'home', we welcome you to visit in person or work with us virtually, you can return to your inner Refuge within.
